KARACHI: KU extends BCom registration date


KARACHI, Nov 25: The University of Karachi has announced that registration forms of BCom and improvement of division will be accepted with a late fee of Rs300 from Nov 26 to Dec 3.

The original fee is Rs1,500. Registration forms will be available at the bank counter of NBP and UBL at the Silver Jubilee Gate of the university.

Meanwhile, the Area Study Centre for Europe, University of Karachi, in collaboration with the Hanns Seidel Foundation, Islamabad, will hold a two-day international seminar from Nov 26.

The topic of the seminar is: “EU as an emerging power: its Middle East policy”.

Vice-chancellor of Karachi University Prof Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui will open the seminar while a former federal minister, Javed Jabbar, will be the chief guest.

ASCE Director Prof (Dr) Naveed Ahmed Tahir will present the welcome address.

Law classes

The Jinnah University for Women has announced that law classes will be introduced at the graduate level from January 2009.

It was pointed out that the governing body of the university had unanimously decided to start the law classes. In this connection, a committee was formed under the supervision of Justice (rtd) Saeeduzzaman Siddiqui.
