Bomb blast rocks Imambargah

PESHAWAR: Ten people, including a woman, were injured in two bomb blasts in the city on Monday.
Syed Kamal Shah, the caretaker of Hussainia Imambargah, his wife and seven other people suffered injuries in the first blast which took place in the second-storey washroom of his residence.
According to Hashtnagri police, three to five kilograms of dynamite was used for the explosion, which damaged a room and some other parts of the house.
The Imambargah was situated is on a densely inhabited street and people faced difficulty in rescue work.
The police said two of the injured people were said to be guests.
The injured were taken to the Lady Reading Hospital.
The other blast took place in the Pando area injuring one person. Mohammad Ashraf complained to police that two persons had called him out of his house just before the explosion.
Police said the complainant had named his brothers Aslam and Rehmat Khan as suspects, saying that they had a land dispute with him.
SSP (operations) Kashif Alam and Capital City Police Officer Dr Mohammad Suleman could not be contacted for comments.
NWFP Inspector-General of Police Malik Naveed told a private television that only five people had been injured in the Imambargah blast.
