Pakistan to free 101 Indian prisoners


ISLAMABAD, Nov 23: The government has decided to free 101 Indian prisoners, 99 of them fishermen, as part of confidence-building measures between Pakistan and India, Prime Minister’s Adviser on Interior Rehman Malik said on Sunday.

According to a private channel, the prisoners had completed their jail terms.

The fishermen had been in jail for two to six years and the two other Indian citizens for a longer period. India recently freed 29 Pakistani citizens. —APP
