Musharraf, wife on tour of Britain

LONDON, Nov 23: Former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf arrived here on Sunday afternoon on his first visit abroad since stepping down from the office on Aug 18 this year.

According to APP, he was accompanied by his wife Sehba Musharraf.

The former president is expected to stay in the UK for about a week during which he will address the Cambridge University Students Union and different think-tanks.

As president, his last official visit to United Kingdom was in January this year while on way home from a four-nation European tour.

Our Rawalpindi correspondent adds: Gen (retd) Musharraf left for London on PIA’s regular flight PK-785.

He is expected to return to Islamabad on PK-786 on December 1.
