KOHAT: Militants’ hideouts attacked; 6 held in Darra


KOHAT, Nov 23: Helicopter gunships attacked hideouts of militants in Ammay Kammay mountains while security forces arrested six suspected persons in Darra Adamkhel on Sunday.

Officials said that helicopter gunships pounded hideouts of militants in Ammay Kammay mountains of Bosti Khel area in Darra Adamkhel from where rockets had been fired at Kohat Cantonment on Saturday night.

However no loss of life was reported.Meanwhile, during a search operation in Darra Adamkhel bazaar the security forces arrested six suspects from their shops in the afternoon.

Sources said that the suspected persons were involved in making fake documents of vehicles and had links with criminal groups. They were shifted to the investigation camp for interrogation by the army.

Sources said that security forces and remnants of militants exchanged fire on late Sunday night in Darra Adamkhel.

BLAST VICTIM DIES: Another victim of the Thall mosque blast succumbed to his injuries in hospital raising the death toll to four on Sunday.

The deceased, an Afghan refugee, was identified as Dadak Khan son of Niaz Gul, who was pulled out alive from the rubble of the mosque on Saturday afternoon. —Correspondent
