THATTA, Nov 21: In a rare development, a hunter of migratory birds has pledged on oath not to hunt birds after he found such a message on a bird he had hunted.
Wadero Qadir Samoon brought to the press club one of his hunted migratory birds, which pour every year from Siberia and central Asia in winter to various wetlands of Sindh. He spotted a small chit carefully folded and pasted in wax coating tied with one of its leg.
The unsigned chit carries the message in English: “Please don’t kill us. Let us make your environment beautiful. We are tiny creature.”
Seeming to be in a charged mood on learning the meaning of message through a friend, Qadir pledged on oath in presence of media people not to kill small creatures but to launch a solo campaign against bird hunting in Thatta district.
