GHALANAI, Nov 21: Security forces allegedly killed two people and injured another when they were crossing the River Kabul in a boat near Gorgorai from Mohmand to Khyber on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Zarwali and Bismillah and the injured as Abdul Zaman.

The security forces have warned local people not to use prohibited routes. Gunship helicopters fly over Pandyali, Qandaharo and Ghalanai areas, creating panic among people.

Government offices and markets remained closed due to the curfew for the 26th day in the Mohmand region, multiplying miseries of the local people.

Food items are being sold at higher prices and life-saving medicines are not available in the market. Public transporters are charging double fares from commuters. The people of the area have demanded lifting the curfew.—Correspondent
