ACE nabs three officials

LAHORE, Nov 20: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) claimed on Thursday to have arrested three officials, including the Rahim Yar Khan Zakat and Ushr Committee chairman, on corruption charges.

An ACE spokesman told Dawn that there were reports that Muhammad Yaqoob had embezzled funds of Zakat and Ushr Committee. After investigation it was established that he had misappropriated Rs1 million.

In other cases, RY Khan tehsil municipal administration junior clerk Abdul Razzaq and ASI Abdul Waheed of Faisalabad were arrested for tampering with the official record and taking bribe, respectively.
