Layyah officials brief commissioner

LAYYAH, Nov 20: The Revenue Department has cancelled the allotment of 50,000 kanals to several people on bogus documents while 19 appeals against such allotments are lying pending with courts.

Dera Ghazi Khan Commissioner Ahsan Iqbal learnt this at a briefing here on Thursday.

Dawn learnt that at the briefing, the commissioner chided District Health Officer Khalid Naeem for presenting a report about the health network in the district, which the divisional boss called exaggerating. The commissioner said as the report showed all was well in the district but the condition of two basic health units which he had visited in the morning spoke otherwise.

He warned Health Executive District Officer (EDO) Dr Mukhtar Shah to put the house in order by arranging training programmes for all officials.
