KARACHI, Nov 19: Pakistan Hockey Federation’s (PHF) Women’s Wing announced the names of 34 probables for the Pakistan Junior women’s team to feature in next month’s 6th Junior Women’s Asia Cup hockey tournament in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The event to be held from Dec 13 to 21 will see nine teams divided into two pools. Pool ‘A’ comprises Pakistan, Japan, Malaysia, China and Thailand while Korea, India, Singapore and Chinese Taipei make up Pool ‘B’.
Pakistan play their first match, against Thailand, on Dec 13; second, against Japan, on Dec 14; third, against Malaysia, on Dec 17 and the fourth one, against China, on Dec 18.
The semi-finals and classification matches will be played on the 20th with the final and position matches to be held on Dec 21.
The camp being held at Hockey Club of Pakistan (HCP) in Karachi under the supervision of Olympian Akhlaq Ahmed will go on until the final trials on Nov 25.
