HYDERABAD, Nov 19: Tando Allahyar police on Wednesday lodged a criminal case against PPP MPA Imdad Pitafi, DCO of Tando Allahyar Pervez Ahmed Sehar, DPO of Tando Allahyar Imtiaz Tunio, PPP leaders Sattar Bachani and Zulfikar Sattar Bachani among others on a compliant lodged by District Nazim Dr Rahila Magsi.

Tando Allahyar police confirmed that the case had been lodged against the accused under directives of additional district judge-III of Hyderabad Khalid Hussain Shahani.

The court passed the order on an application filed by the district nazim, seeking registration of case against the accused on charges of issuing her threats and occupying her office in the district government secretariat forcibly when she was not present there.

Police had earlier avoided registering the FIR but finally lodged it.

The incident mentioned in the FIR took place on Nov 6 when Zulfikar Sattar Bachani, son of PPP MNA Shamshad Sattar Bachani, forced into the office of district nazim.

He had claimed that since he did not have any office, he would like to sit in the district nazim’s office because it was not her personal office.

The district nazim accused local PPP leaders of harassing her and trying to oust since the party’s victory in Feb 18 elections. But, they had so far failed to gather required number of members in the council to bring a no-confidence motion, she said.
