BMG sweeps KCCI polls

KARACHI, Nov 19: Businessmen Group (BMG) candidates returned un-opposed on all the 30 seats of the managing committee of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry in its annual elections for 2008-09.

The newly-elected managing committee officials are: Anjum Nisar, Mohammad Jawed Bilwani, Mohammad Ali, Younas Mohammad Bashir, Faisal Khalil Ahmed, Zia Ahmed Khan, Junaid Ismail Makda, Shamim Ahmed Fario, Mian Taimoor Arbab, Durre Shahwar Nisar, Mohammad Shariq Vohra, Abdul Razzaq Agar, Shams Islam Khan, Nadeem Zafar, Abdul Basit Haji Abdul Razzaq, Mohammad Arif Balagamwala, Attiq-ur- Rehman, Attique Sheikha, Mumtaz Ahmed Shfique, Anis, Javed Ahmed Vohra, Dr Islam Hamid, Qamar Usman, Mohammad Naeem Sharif, Mohammad Illyas Nainitalwala, Khurram Sehgal, Awais Siddique Jangda, Rashiduddin Rashid, Nasir Mehmood and Mohammad Mohsin, says a KCCI announcement here on Wednesday.

Siraj Kassam Teli, leader of KCCI's Businessmen Group (BMG), and former president of the KCCI, vowed that his group would continue its struggle for promotion of trade and industry, and for the welfare of KCCI members.—APP
