PPDA threatens to close pumps

Published November 20, 2008

KARACHI, Nov 19: Chairman, Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association, Abdul Sami Khan, on Wednesday urged the government to raise petroleum dealers' commission to five per cent of consumer price.

At a press conference, he made it clear that petrol pumps would not buy petrol from oil marketing companies anymore unless allowed five per cent commission.

“This means closure of petrol pumps in the country. We will not be responsible of any shortage of petroleum products due to closure of gas stations,” he opined. —APP
