Karachi Port operations

KARACHI, Nov 17: Seven ships carrying containers, raw jute and to load clinker are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity was maintained on the higher side at the port where a dozen ships, including two rice and three cement loaders were berthed during the last two days.

They are: Navision Bulker and Oriental Moon to load rice, Red Sea Spirit, OBS Swathy and Caribbean Carrier-1 to load cement, and oil tankers, M.M.M. Kingston and Sichen Defender.

They were followed by Jakarta Express, Hyundai Qingdao, Ainaftis, to unload and load containers, and Honor to offload general cargo.

A total tonnage of 0.120m tons comprising 56,154 tons of export cargo, including 3,300 tons of rice and 18,000 tons of cement and clinker and 63,942 tons of import tonnage was handled during the last two days.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Banglar Maya, with 9,748 tons of raw jute, Golden Arrow-2, to load 20,000 tons of clinker, APL Yokohama, Sima Pride, Deja Bhum, H & H Tide, and TS Xingang, with containers.
