MITHI, Nov 15: The district and sessions judge of Tharparkar on Saturday cancelled application for bail submitted by eight accused belonging to Arbab group and ordered to send them to jail.

The accused nominated in an FIR lodged at Chhachhro police station include Ramzan Malkani, brother of Chhachhro Taluka Nazim Dilawar Malkani, Abdul Sammad Malkani, Ismail, Majid, Rehmatullah, Murad, Mumtaz Nohri and Dhani Bux Malkani. Two other accused, Mir Mohammad and Sadar, were already in jail.

The FIR was lodged following a clash between two groups of transporters belonging to Pakistan People’s Party and Arbab group at Chhachhro bus stand some time ago over a dispute on bus routes.

Arbab supporters, Malkani transport, had beaten up and attacked driver Bashir Khoso and others of PPP during the clash. Later, Bashir Khoso registered an FIR against Arbab supporters for beating him up and others and tearing up photo of Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari which he said were pasted on his bus.
