TIMERGARA: Honour killing claims two lives in Dir

TIMERGARA, Nov 15: A girl and a man were gunned down in the name of honour in Ramora village late on Friday night in the jurisdiction of the Ouch Police Station, police and residents told Dawn.

Sources said that one Gulzar allegedly fired at his sister Uzra and one, Wahib Shah son of Shamsul Zaman, resident of Amirabad, Chakdara, when he found them in a room in the house. They died on the spot. The accused escaped from the area after the incident.

The police have registered a case and started investigation.

In Lower Dir district, it was second such incident during this month that claimed two lives. On November 1, a man and a married woman were killed in Dab Rabat village, when both were found in an objectionable condition.
