Cut in LPG price demanded

Published November 16, 2008

KARACHI, Nov 15: Saudi Aramco contract price of LPG has declined from $490 to $410 per ton, yet local producers and marketing companies continue to sell LPG at $560 per ton in the local market.

This was stated by LPG Distributors Association chairman Hadi Khan here on Saturday while urging a cut of Rs5,980 per ton of liquefied petroleum gas keeping in view the big drop in its international prices.

He said the LPG was selling at Rs68 per kg, which is still beyond the reach of poor consumers.—APP
