Gojra club off to winning start

LAHORE, Nov 13: Pakistan’s Olympian Village Club Gojra, the first club outfit to have been sent to participate in a foreign championship by the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), outplayed Adikon Club, Uzbekistan 3-0 in the Asian Club Hockey Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.

According to the reports received here, the Gojra Club led the first half 1-0. Mehmood Ali scored two goals while Mohammad Tousiq chipped in another.

Gojra next takes on the Singapore Racing Club on Friday.
