LPG prices cut by Rs15-35

LAHORE, Nov 12: Wholesale prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) will be reduced by Rs15-35 per 11.8kg cylinder from Thursday.

“Price adjustments are being made by our companies to ensure the economic viability of our product and in view of market realities,” Fasih Ahmed spokesman of Lub Gas and Mehran LPG, said on Wednesday.

“Since October, the two companies have reduced LPG prices by Rs100 for the 11.8kg cylinder which is a significant reduction in a short span of time,” he said. “Based on the reduced wholesale prices, the retail price should now range between Rs65 and Rs67 a kg.”

The wholesale price of an 11.8kg cylinder has been reduced from Rs750 to Rs720 in Karachi; from Rs760 to Rs725 in Hyderabad; from Rs755 to Rs730 in Punjab; from Rs750 to Rs735 in Dakhni; and from Rs755 to Rs740 in the NWFP and Nothern Areas.
