QUETTA, Nov 11: Three pro-government Bugti tribesmen were seriously injured when a bomb exploded in the Pirkoh gas field area on Tuesday.

According to police, the bomb went off when Wadera Murad Ali Bugti, Zahoor Ahmed Bugti and Adam Khan Bugti were going to bazaar on a tractor.

Police and other security personnel rushed to the place and took the injured to the civil hospital in Dera Bugti.

Police said the bomb targeting the tribesmen had been detonated by remote control.

Four pro-government Bugti tribesmen have been killed in bomb and landmine explosions over the past two days. The Baloch Republican Army has claimed responsibility for the attacks.

Explosion rocks city: A powerful explosion in the Quetta district jail office compound rocked the city on Tuesday night.

Police said the explosive device had been hurled by some people into the compound.

Windowpanes of nearby buildings were smashed. There were no reports of any casualty.
