KARACHI: Submission date of Fuuast exam forms extended


KARACHI, Nov 11: The Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology has extended the date for submission of forms of BSc (Hons) and MSc (previous and final) examinations.

According to the examination department of the university, the exam forms can now be submitted till November 18 with a late fee of Rs200.

Forms are available at the Gulshan-i-Iqbal campus branch of the National Bank of Pakistan. The duly filled forms can be submitted in the respective departments.The university, meanwhile, announced that that it would hold a ceremony to mark the sixth founding day (Youm-i-Tasees) of the university on Thursday at 4pm.

All teachers of the university have been asked to attend the function being arranged at the science faculty auditorium.

KU admissions

Karachi University has announced that the application forms for admission against reserved seats are available at the office of deputy registrar (academics) on a payment of Rs300.

Candidates have been advised to submit the forms for BS third year admission on reserved seats by November 20. The applicants have also been directed to apply on open merit as well.

Book launch

The Goethe Institut and the Oxford University Press will launch a book on Sufism on Nov 12.

The launching ceremony will be conducted at the Geothe Institut Karachi.

Dr S. Mehdi Raza Shah Subzwari, Sajjada Nasheen Qalandar Lal Shahbaz, Sehwan Sharif, will be the chief guest.

There will be a presentation on the book by Dr Jurgen Wasim Frembgen, Director of the Oriental Department, Museum of Anthology, Munich. He will also sign the books which will be put on the sale.

Director of the Goethe Institut Karachi Dr Marcus Litz will present the welcome address. Ameena Saiyid, the OUP Pakistan managing-director, will also spoke.—APP/PPI
