KARACHI, Nov 11: Seven ships carrying containers and to load clinkers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk where eight ships were berthed on Tuesday. They are: APL Zircom, Bunga Teratai-3, Loa, Sinar Bintan, H.H. Tide, X-Press Khyber to unload and load containers, Adriatic Arrow, Ashraf –B to load cement.Sailing on the other hand were modest as four ships, Valentine, Gulf Pride, Sea Bridge and Johar departed on Tuesday, while Bunga Teratai-3, John GR, Champion Brali, Nikolaos-P, H.H. Tide, Cape Negro, Adriatic Arrow, APL Zircon, and X-Press Khyber are due to sail out on Wednesday.

A total tonnage of 0.1m tons comprising 54,924 tons of export cargo, including 3,692 tons of rice, and 12,600 tons of cement and clinkers and 45,331 tons of import tonnage was handled on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Bunga Teratai-4, Hyundai Baron, Hansa Stavanger, Northern Harmony, Sima Pride, with containers, Nord Scan Mumbai, with project cargo and Darya Raag, to load 25,000 tons of clinkers.
