LAHORE, Nov 9: The Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Governing Board will hold its first meeting under the new regime of Ijaz Butt at the National Cricket Academy here on Monday.
The house comprises 15 members, picked up by the previous chairman Dr Nasim Ashraf, two of whom — Munir Hafeez and Ali Raza — will not be attending due to their other pressing assignments.
Ijaz, who was also the member of the Board before being elevated as PCB chairman, will chair the meeting.
Intikhab Alam, another member, who recently became Pakistan coach, will also be absent as he is in Abu Dhabi with the team for the three-match one-day series against the West Indies.
Dr Mohammad Ali Shah (Karachi), Mian Munir Ahmed (Multan), Aamir Hayat Rokri (Lahore), Shakil Sheikh (Islamabad), Wisal Durrani (Peshawar), Abdul Raquib (departmental representative), Farooq Rehmatullah and Mueen Afzal will attend the meeting with a brief three-point agenda.
The house is to give its approval of Saleem Altaf as the new chief operating officer (COO) in place of Shafqat Naghmi.
The meeting is also likely to discuss the performance of some key PCB officials in order to decide about their future.
