NAWABSHAH: 3,564 take test for 681 varsity seats


NAWABSHAH, Nov 9: As many as 3,564 students appeared in test for admission to graduate classes in the Quaid-i-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology here on Sunday.

Quest Vice-Chancellor Profes-sor Wahid Bux Soomro said that the university had received 3,717 forms, of them 16 were rejected for different reasons and 3,701 candidates were allowed to take the test but 234 did not do so.

He said that the university offered 681 seats, including 100 in BE (civil engineering) 55 in BE (computer system) 110 in BE (electrical engineering) 100 in BE (mechanical engineering) 62 in BE (electronics) 62 in BE (energy environment) 61 in BSc (IT) 71 in BCS and 50 in BSc (Mathematics).

The result of the test will be announced on November 15 and displayed on the university’s website and its notice board.

Faculty of Engineering Dean Professor A.B. Soomro supervised the arrangements.
