KARACHI: Surveillance cameras


KARACHI, Nov 9: Surveillance cameras all along eight major arteries of the city will be installed to check violations of traffic rules. The traffic police have also planned introduction of “smart card” to record violations by driving licence-holders. DIG Traffic Wajid Ali Durrani has said that police will record traffic offences by holders of the smart cards through Personal Digital Assistance (PDA) and on commission of three-four traffic rules violations, a driver can lose his driving licence.—PPI
