LANDI KOTAL, Nov 8: Third batch of 90 unemployed tribal youth have successfully completed their four-month long skill training course imparted to them by the Fata Rural Development Programme.

Successful students were awarded certificates at the Government Advanced Technical Training College, where they were imparted training.

The newly-trained tribal youth belong to Khyber, Mohmand and Bajaur agencies. Seventeen each tribal youth received training in basic computer, mobile repair and refrigeration and air-conditioning, while 16 were imparted training in electronics, 12 in tailoring and eleven in welding.

Most of the students expressed their satisfaction over the training programme and facilities provided to them at the training institution during the last four months. They however, suggested for financial assistance from the government for establishing their own businesses once they return to their respective tribal areas.

The successful students contended that most of them belonged to poor and less resourceful families and they were in need of monetary assistance in order to put their skills to useful work.—Correspondent
