Port Qasim


KARACHI, Nov 8: Brisk shipping activity was observed at the port where five ships carrying containers, wheat, palm oil and livestock were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal (QICT) and Multipurpose Terminal (MPT), respectively on Friday.

Meanwhile, five more ships carrying wheat, Iron ore, coke, palm oil and diesel arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy remained at 60 per cent at the port, where a total of six ships, C.V Saudi Diriyah, C.V AI-Manakh, M.V Maria, M.V Kolocep, M.T Royal Aqua and M.V Bison Express occupied berths to load, offload containers, wheat, palm oil and livestock, respectively during the report period.

Five ships--M.V Karavador, C.V Dubai Express, C.V CMA CGM Sambhar, C.V Saudi Diriyah and C.V Al-Manakh sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two more ships M.V Kolocep and M.V Bison Express are expected to sail on Saturday.

Five ships C.V MSC Lucia, C.V Miyunhe, M.V Tai Han Hai, M.V Iran Tabas and M.T Ginga Tiger carrying containers, wheat, Iron ore and phosphoric acid were expected on Saturday. —APP
