KARACHI, Nov 7: A dozen ships carrying containers, soyabean meal and three cement loaders are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Hyundai Admiral, Oel Transworld, Hanjin Qingdao to unload and load containers and Q.S.M. Sharjah to load rice were berthed after the departure of five on Friday.
The departing ships were led by Q.S.M. Dubai, Resolve, Pac Antlia, Lucky Arrow and Hangin Qingdao, while Gregos, Harmony, Hawk, Nayab-1, ST. James Park, Oel Transworld, OBS Anita, Hyundai Admiral, Team Al-Emirates and Pequod are due to sail out on Saturday.
A total tonnage of 90,454 tons comprising 36,602 tons of export cargo and 53,852 tons of import tonnage was handled on Friday.
The following ships are due on Saturday: Alex-3, Adriatic Arrow, Caribbean Carrier to load 15,000, 9,000 and 16,500 tons of cement, Sichem Defender and Rising QM to load 13,000 and 2,500 tons of naphtha, Tan Binh-26 with 6,500 tons of soyabean meal, Johar with crude oil, Eric G. Gibson, Thuringia Express and Soon Fu with containers and Denny-2 with steel cargo.
