Jamil Baba to lead Sindh soccer team

KARACHI, Nov 6: A 17-member Sindh football squad left for Peshawar to feature in the Inter-provincial Youth Games being held there from Nov 9.

The team boarded the Khushal Khan Khattak Express from Karachi on Thursday evening and is expected to reach its destination some time on Saturday (Nov 8).

Sindh has the honour of winning gold in football in the 2004 and 2006 versions of the games that were held in Lahore.

Squad: Jamil Baba (captain), Daniyal Alvi (Vice-captain), Abdul Rashid, Arif Deen, Adnan Ahmed, Daniyal Gillani, Nur Mohammad, Shakir Hussain, Shahnawaz, Shahzad Hashmi, Sirajuddin, Jamal Ghulam, Zahid Shah, Mohsin Shah, Abdul Jabbar, Amjad Khan, Dil Murad.

Officials: Yaqub Baloch (manager), Akhlaq Ahmed (coach).
