KARACHI, Nov 5: Six ships carrying containers and wheat and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where nine ships: Cap Colorado, Deja Bhum, Kapitan Byankin and China Star to unload and load containers, Nayab-1 and Banglar Urmi to unload and load general cargo, OBS Anita and Lucky Arrow to load cement and St. James Park, an oil tanker, were berthed on Wednesday.

Sailing was also active as eight ships, Mol Ability, Thor Ingeborg, Elenit, Deja Bhum, Al-Marwah, Hyundai Qingdao and Cap Colorado departed on Wednesday, while Nord Mermaid, Elena, Marilyn, APL Chicago, China Star, Q.S.M. Dubai, Nayab-1, Lucky Arrow and Gregos are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 121,000 tons comprising 44,837 tons of export cargo and 75,657 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Flag Investors, Alexi-3 to load 20,000 and 15,000 tons of cement, Serpentine with 34,820 tons of imported wheat, OEL Transworld and Hyundai Admiral with containers and Resolve with project cargo.
