KARACHI: PPP against vendetta politics: CM
KARACHI, Nov 4: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that the Pakistan People’s Party does not believe in the politics of vengeance and that is why the government did not take any step even against the party’s worst rivals.
He expressed these views while chairing a special meeting of the party’s city chapter held on Tuesday evening. He said the PPP-led government believed in the reconciliation policy of Benazir Bhutto.
Mr Shah said that President Asif Ali Zardari, who is also the co-chairman of the party, established an environment of reconciliation in the country through his wisdom and sagacity by getting all democratic forces united on the platform of parliament.
“We do not want the politics of vengeance but of respect and honour,” he said, adding that for this very purpose “we did not take any reprisal action even against our worst enemy.”
Pir Mazharul Huq, Dr Zulfikar Mirza and others attended the meeting.—APP
