KARACHI, Nov 1: A 55-year-old owner of a private school in Gulberg was found shot dead near Bismillah Terrace, Sohrab Goth.
The Sachal police said that the body of Hasan Abbas was lying near his motorcycle at a desolate place off the Super Highway.
No case was registered till late as the police were still conducting the medico-legal proceedings.
SP killed in road tragedy
SP Ejaj Hussain Kamario, 50, was killed when a fast-moving truck collided with his Pajero jeep near Kathore, Super Highway.
The fatally wounded SP was rushed to the Civil Hospital where he died.
Mr Kamario was recently promoted from DSP and also remained posted as TPO Gadap.
Uxoricide
A man strangled his 26-year-old wife, mother of three, in Darvesh Colony, a shantytown in Bahadurabad, and fled.
The police said that the couple hailed from Okara and the victim, Ruqayya, wife of Abid Ali, had come to stay with her sister a week after she had a tiff with her husband.
They said that the suspect had followed his estranged wife to Karachi for a patch-up.
The victim’s brother-in-law (husband of her sister) lodged the case (FIR 472/08) against the suspect.
