KARACHI, Oct 31: Three container ships were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, two more ships with containers and chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Seven ships, Lahore Express, Lucia, Al-Mariyah, Golden Beam Trader, Pacific Scorpio, Process and Vaafi, were busy in loading and unloading containers, wheat, palm oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 77,016 tons comprising 61,440 tons of import and 15,576 tons of export tonnage was handled.

CMA CGM Kingston, AI-Mariyah, Lahore Express and Process sailed out while Lucia was expected to depart.
