Man killed on road

ISLAMABAD, Oct 29: A cook in the National Logistics Corporation (NLC) was killed and his friend was injured in a road accident here on Wednesday, police said.

Liaquat Ali along with his colleague, Zamir, was going to the Naval Headquarters when their motorcycle was hit by a car that jumped a red light near 96 Quarter, Sector G-9/1 and 2.

Both motorcyclist suffered multiple injures. They were shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) where Ali died, while Zamir was said to be in stable condition.

The police arrested the car driver and impounded the vehicle.
