KARACHI, Oct 26: The domination of outsiders paved the way for turf accountants to have a field day in the Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

At least five of the eight races produced stunning results as racegoers suffered heavily and felt cheated.

With a win under his belt, favourite two-year-old colt Silver Victory stormed to a facile seven-and-a-half lengths victory over two-year-old filly Magnificent Baby to land The Sindh Cup and stretched his winning run.

Jockey Arshad rode home the public fancy horse which belonged to the stables of Irfan Mehdi and trained by G. Hassan.

Filly Million in Mind settled for third eight lengths behind while filly Ice Blue completed the board, finishing a further three lengths away.

In an earlier race, jockey Essa presented owner Pir Pagara with a winner galloping favourite four-year-old bay filly Sugar Sweet to two-and-a-half lengths victory over Mushki.

Barring just one exception, Sugar Sweet has failed to appear on the board in successive runs.

Another favourite that justified his billing was three-year-old colt The Reyan who was piloted home by Nadim Akhtar to two lengths victory beating Play Boy.

The races commenced with an upset when filly Baby John edged fancied colt Crown Prince by half-a-length to land the opener.

Taking advantage of dislodging of the rider of favourite Back In Action, filly Moon Baby claimed the next race beating mare Closing Argument hands down by three-and-a-half lengths.

Jockey Nasir created the third upset when he steered mare Royal Loyalty to one-and-a-half lengths victory over Novaho’s Glory as favourite Halal Tob finished third.

Bay mare Khajuree made an impressive debut when she overcame favourite mare Silent Love to an exiting two lengths victory in the seventh while bay Haroon Prince toppled mare Mixed Blessing by one-and-a-half lengths in the concluding race.
