LRC elections today

LAHORE, Oct 25: The Annual General Meeting of the Lahore Race Club (LRC) will be held to elect a panel of 10 stewards at 11.00am on Sunday. The meeting to be held in the LRC conference room will be presided over by LRC chairman Tariq Aziz. The LRC has 50 members, who will exercise their right of vote to elect the stewards.

The members are sharply divided into two groups. One is headed by the sitting chairman Tariq Aziz and the other by a senior steward Syed Fakhar Imam.

Those in the field are: Tariq Aziz, Arbab Nur Mohammad Khan, Syed Fakhar Imam, Malik Hamid Ali Noon, Sheikh Sajjad Hassan, Malik Ghulam Nabi, Mian Abdul Waheed, Masood Pervaiz, Syed Parvaiz Hussain, Khawaja Mohammad Arif, Syeda Abida Hussain, Munir Ahmad Dar, Abdul Qadir Khan Mamdot, Choudhry Ahmad Saeed, Mohammad Irfan Munnoo and Mohammad Nawaz Tiwana.

The first 10 named are the sitting stewards. Those elected will elect LRC charman.—A.G.
