KARACHI, Oct 25: Four-year-old chestnut colt Crown Prince who hit the headlines in the last two outings is fancied to make it three-in-a-row when the Gymkhana race meeting takes place at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

He galloped to victory in the previous two races under riders Nasir and Essa and looks smart enough to stretch his winning run.

In view of his recent return to form after a layoff, he starts as our day’s best and likely to oblige punters by finishing ahead of rivals.

His likely challenger among six opponents is seven-year-old bay Manan Prince in the six furlongs opener.

Syed Ismail Shah’s two-year-old bay filly Millions In Mind who was placed in her maiden run is expected to avenge her defeat when she comes across filly 3 Knot 3 in The Sindh Cup, a handicap race for two-year-old colts and fillies.

The cup has attracted 10 horses and it will be a closely contested affair between two above named horses to be chased by Silver Victory.

At least three horses from the stables of Shah Mardan Shah Pir Pagara are expected to shine in a card of eight races. They are three-year-old bay colt Halal Tob in the third, four-year-old bay filly Sweetie Pie in the fourth and fillies Sugar Sweet/Jadu Jantar in the fifth.

Halal Tob is on course to make it two on the trot, Sweetie Pie is tipped to be backed by connection so does Sugar Sweet or Jadu Jantar.

The second race should see four-year-old chestnut colt Back In Action establish his authority by prevailing over the field to make it three-in-a-row. He faces a tough challenge from mare Closing Argument to accomplish his task.

Mares Silent Love and Mixed Blessing are likely to sprint away with the last two races.
