KARACHI, Oct 25: Six ships carrying containers, imported wheat and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where nine ships, Adiatic Arrow to load cement, Malika Naree to offload iron scrap, Al-Farabi to load molasses, Al-Salami-2 to unload high-speed diesel, Soon Fu, Cosco Lian Yun Gang, King Brian and City of Xiamen with containers.

Seven ships, Quetta, Island Star, Global Progress, Ocean Project -2, Chi Feng Kou, Red Sea Spirit and X-press Khyber departed on Saturday, while City of Xiamen, King Brian, Soon Fu, Al-Farabi, Adriatic Arrow, Victory-2, Al-Salami-2 and Navision Bulker are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 113,000 tons comprising 38,741 tons of export tonnage including rice and cement and 74,390 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Sunday: John GR with 39,594 tons of imported wheat, OBS Swathy to load cement, Admiral Coral with general cargo, Tower Bridge, Sima Pride, H.S. Bizet with containers.

The following vessels are due on Monday: Lalazar with crude oil, Oel Transworld, Mol Admiration, Cap George with containers and Ashraf to load cement.
