Clarke new CA chief

SYDNEY, Oct 24: Solicitor Jack Clarke has been elected as Cricket Australia chairman following the retirement of Creagh O’Connor, CA said on Friday.

O’Connor retired as chairman and from the board on Friday after three years as its chairman and 11 years on the board.

Clarke, a CA director since 1999, has been CA deputy chairman for the last year and as chairman will be the organisation’s delegate to the International Cricket Council board.—AFP
