KARACHI, Oct 24: Four ships to load/offload containers, iron ore and phosphoric acid were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, three more ships carrying chemicals and to load cement also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Nine ships, Hammurabi, CMA CGM Puget, Vancouver-II, Beluga Indication, RM Power, Transport, AI-Soor-II, Brlsize Park and Shaffi, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, project cargo, wheat, diesel oil, phosphoric acid, and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 106,000 tons comprising 83,000 tons of import and 23,000 tons of export tonnage was handled.

R.S.Z Joy, Hammurabi and AI-Soor-II sailed out while CMA CGM Puget and Belsize Park were expected to depart.
