KARACHI, Oct 23: Three carrying containers, wheat and diesel oil were allotted berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, three more ships with containers, palm oil and phosphoric acid also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, ACX Pearl, Maersk Delmont, Vancouver-II, Beluga Indication, RM Power, Transport, AI-Soor-II and R.S.Z Joy, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, project cargo, wheat, diesel oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 50,069 tons comprising 33,675 tons of import and 16,394 tons of export tonnage was handled. Nan Hai, Sun Rose, Maersk Delmont and ACX Pearl sailed out while R.S.Z Joy was expected to leave the port.
