KARACHI, Oct 23: Eight ships including two cement loaders are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side as seven ships, Royal Success and Surife to unload imported wheat, Red Sea Spirit to load cement, APL Shenzhen, X-Press Khyber, Cape Neroro to unload and load containers and Chi Feng Kou to unload and load general cargo were accommodated berths after departure of five vessels on Thursday.

The departing ships were led by Wan Hai-301, APL Shenzhen, Hati-1, Bolan and Lucky Arrow, while Quetta, Bunga Kenari, Island Star, Cape Negro, Chi Feng Kou and X-Press Khyber are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 86,201 tons comprising 34,512 tons of export cargo and 51,689 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Gulf Tiger with oil, Bulk Arrow and Ashraf-B to load 17,150 and 5,200 tons of cement, Soon Fu, City of Xiamen, King Brian, Eric G. Gibson and Empress Phoenix with containers.
