KARACHI, Oct 22: Berthing was slow as only two container ships were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, two more ships with wheat and containers also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Maersk Delomont, Katrina, Vancouver-II, Beluga Indication, Nan Hai, Transport, Sun Sose and R.S.Z Joy, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, project cargo, wheat, palm oil, crude oil and iron ore. A cargo volume of 111,000 tons comprising 89,000 tons of import and 18,000 tons of export tonnage was handled.
