LAHORE, Oct 21: People should criticise the rulers for the “worst-ever” power tariff increase instead of targeting Wapda employees who have nothing to do with the tariff increase, says Pakistan Wapda Employees Paigham Union President Sirajuddin Saqib.
Talking to union office-bearers here on Tuesday, he said Wapda had punished the people of Punjab with unprecedented power tariff increase. He said power tariff had not been increased in the NWFP and Sindh but only in Punjab.
He said people in Punjab who paid electricity bills regularly were subjected to tariff increase from 31.39 per cent to 61.36 per cent. — Reporter
