KHAIRPUR, Oct 21: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has assured that people will soon get rid of loadshedding as the power crisis will soon come to an end.

Talking to a number of delegations including a delegation of Anjuman-i-Tajiran at the Circuit House during his visit to the city on Monday night, the chief minister said that people would soon see better results with regard to power supply.

He said that work on a mega project in Khairpur would be started soon as the government would soon release an amount of Rs70 million. Soon there would be improvement in supply of drinking water and drainage system, he said.

The Anjuman-i-Tajiran delegation led by its president Qutbuddin Shaikh and chairman Hussain Bux Abbasi told the chief minister that over 14-hour loadshedding would have adverse impact on the law and order in the city.

Traders were afraid of increase in untoward incidents during loadshedding hours in the night, they said.

They said that traders and people faced problems because the Karakoram and the Millat Express trains did not have a stop at Khairpur railway station.

The chief minister assured to take up the matter with higher authorities and said that the beautification plan being prepared for the city would greatly facilitate people.

Later at a meeting former administrator of then municipal committee of Khairpur Syed Abid Ali Shah, the chief minister gave approval to changing name of an under-construction park near One-Unit building on Mirwah canal road to Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari Park.
