LPG prices reduced by Rs20-35 per 11.8kg cylinder

By Our Staff Reporter

LAHORE, Oct 21: Lub Gas and Mehran LPG, which together represent Pakistan’s largest marketing setup, on Tuesday reduced prices ranging between Rs20 to 35 per 11.8 kg cylinder in different parts of the country.

“Reduction in prices, at which our nationwide distributors purchase the product, is aimed at motivating demand for LPG,” said companies’ spokesman Fasih Ahmed in a statement.

“We expect these reductions will help stabilise retail prices for consumers at the current levels,” he said. The maximum retail price for Lub Gas and Mehran LPG product should not exceed Rs75 per kg anywhere in Pakistan. “This will be the first time that prices in northern Pakistan are going to be cheaper than anywhere else,” said Ahmed.

Prices for distributors have been reduced from Rs840 to Rs805 per 11.8 kg cylinder in the NWFP, Northern Areas and FATA; from Rs800 to Rs835 in

Dakhni; from Rs810 to Rs830 in Punjab; from Rs810 to Rs830 in Dhodak; from Rs820 to Rs845 in Karachi and from Rs820 to Rs840 in Hyderabad, he said.
