Top amateurs to compete in Sri Lanka

ISLAMABAD, Oct 17: Four Pakistani golfers will participate in the 121st Sri Lanka Amateur Golf Championship in Kandy, Sri Lanka.

The championship is scheduled to be held from Nov 5 to 8 at the Victoria Golf Club.

An official of the Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) told Dawn on Friday that the team comprising Mohammad Safdar Khan, Mohammad Ali Hai, Tariq Mehmood, Adil Jahangir and a team manager will represent Pakistan in the three-day event.

The manager, he said, would be announced later. The Sri Lanka Golf Union has invited PGF to send their team to participate in the National championship.

The team leaves from Karachi on November 3.
