Rs2 Roti available in Attock too

ATTOCK, Oct 17: The district administration has made arrangements for provision of Roti at Rs2 to the people at 107 tandoors throughout the district.

The district coordination officer (DCO) Attock Capt (Rtd) Saqib Zafar said here on Friday that the tandoors were providing Roti at Rs2 throughout the district to the people without any hindrance. Out of total 107 tandoors, 45 are in Attock city as relief to the poor against food inflation was top priority of the Punjab government, he said.

He said that Sasta Roti programme is being run successfully at the all tehsils of the district.

He said if any person had any complaint about Roti, he could contact district officer coordination (DOC) Chaudhry Rabnawaz on telephone number 9316024, while deputy district officer of all six tehsils will supervise/monitor the Sasta

Roti programme at their respective tehsils.

Furthermore, the DCO Mr Zafar claimed that district administration was taking all measures to ensure smooth supply of wheat flour (Atta) to the market for its availability to the people and tandoors as well.

He said that supply of 20,000 atta bags are being provided daily in the open market besides provision of atta through trucks.
