KARACHI, Oct 16: Two container ships were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, three more ships with containers and palm oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Seven ships, ACX Dahlia, Bax Lagoon, Ataqa, Avenier, Giorgis Milas, Transport and Ocala, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, wheat, palm oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 49,019 tons comprising 36,418 tons of import and 12,601 tons of export tonnage was handled.

ACX Dahlia and Sax Lagoon and Oem Star sailed out while Evenir was expected to depart.
