KARACHI, Oct 15: Four ships carrying containers, palm oil, chemicals and iron ore were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, another container vessel also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Maersk Damietta, Ataqa, Avenier, Giorgis Milas, Transport, AI-Salam-II, Oem Star and Ocala, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, wheat, palm oil, diesel oil, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 60,659 tons comprising 51,789 tons of import and 8,870 tons of export tonnage was handled.

DL Violet, Stolt Nanami, AI-Salam-II and Maersk Damiette sailed out while Oem Star was expected to depart.
